In the case of vintage Submariner models, Rolex offered yellow gold models and two-tone gold and steel models with the option of blue dials, which have been known to have “tropicalized” to various shades of lighter blue, purple, grey, and even brown.
Manufactured over a two-year run between approximately 1956 to 1958, reference 6536 marked the golden age of submariners to not feature crown guards together with its sister reference 6538, incorporating a number of design features which defined the chapter of early Rolex submariners.
The watch comes supplied on a later, yet era-correct Rolex 7206 Oyster-Rivet bracelet with 58 end pieces that is stamped 4/65 and is in excellent condition, showing light stretch from use and retaining 10 links.
